Job Purpose
The Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the day-to-day running of the restaurant, bar, and event operations. This hands-on role focuses on supervising shifts, supporting front-of-house teams, and ensuring service excellence in line with brand standards.
Working closely with the Duty Manager, the Supervisor helps coordinate service delivery, motivates team members, and acts as a first point of contact for guests. This role is ideal for someone ready to step into a leadership position while developing their skills toward more senior management responsibilities.
Role Responsibilities
Shift Supervision & Team Support
Support F&B teams during service across restaurant, bar, and event spaces.
Lead shift briefings, assign tasks, and ensure service runs smoothly.
Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to junior staff.
Step in to resolve operational issues and escalate where necessary.
Guest Experience
Act as a visible presence on the floor, engaging with guests throughout service.
Anticipate and respond to guest needs promptly and professionally.
Handle minor guest concerns and escalate complex issues to the Duty Manager.
Maintain brand standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and presentation.
Operational Coordination
Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of restaurant and event operations.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for accurate and timely service.
Ensure service areas are fully stocked, clean, and ready for use.
Use POS systems (e.g., Micros) for order processing and billing.
Compliance & Standards
Support health and safety, food safety, and hygiene practices across F&B outlets.
Carry out daily checks to ensure readiness of service stations and floor areas.
Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management.
Follow company SOPs and licensing regulations at all times.
Preferred Experience
1-2 years' experience in an F&B supervisory role (restaurant, bar, or hotel).
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
Confident communicator with good leadership and problem-solving skills.
Experience with POS systems (Micros or similar) desirable.
Ability to stay calm under pressure in busy service periods.
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and events.
